Correspondence, condition reports, loan forms, memoranda, shipping and insurance records, and other miscellaneous material regarding loans requested and/or granted to the exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, as well as at The Museum of Modern Art and The Art Institute of Chicago (note that not all objects were shown in all three locations). Correspondence often covers additional topics, most commonly the provenance of Duchamp's works. Several lenders also provided an essay or statement for publication in the exhibition catalog and/or general assistance with exhibition research. As such, there is significant overlap between this subseries and the general "Correspondence" and "Catalog-Correspondence" subseries.
